So, this is the truth...

You are necessary, and God loves you.

There will be days when you'll feel unstoppable, when all the cosmos seems to be on your side, when you just can't miss a shot.  You'll have those days when the coffee comes out perfect, all the traffic lights are green, and the barista can spell your name.

And then, there's the rest of the days.

The dreaded days that you wish would never come, but never seem to leave.  You're defeated, you're broken, you wish you were never born.  You're still dealing with the chaos of yesterday, staring at the pile of chaos due today while knowing a whole truckload of tomorrow's chaos is arriving, not only on time, but ahead of schedule.

The last thing you asked for is some nobody to start preaching to you about how much an intangible God loves you.

But here's the thing: it's the truth. Regardless of your opinion on what truth is or where to find it, the truth still remains the truth.  Over the centuries. science and religion have been at odds, and also, in complete harmony, about the truth.

Consider that your few good days and your many bad days both have something in common: both of them are yours.  And although everyone has them (or, at least some version of them), know that everyone is searching for the same thing and asking the same question: why?

Why do we have good days? Why can't those days stay?  Why do we have bad days?  Why can't those days go away?  Why am I here?  Why are there never answers to "why?" ?

So, let me tell you about that truth. Genesis chapter 3 details the falling of humanity. It's a sad story that shows humanity's rebellion against God; a time when human beings told God to get lost, that they'd be better off without him, that they would do things their own way from there on out. That bad decision opened the floodgates of sin to be unleashed upon the world; evil, disorder, chaos, injustice, doubt, disbelief, and death.  Born into a fallen world rife with injustice and often unfair, humanity has been living the consequences of our forebears' sin ever since. Ultimately, the price humanity has to pay for this rebellion is death and separation from our Creator.

Fortunately, our God is in the redemption business; He delights in reclaiming the rebellious for Himself, in rescuing the lost and those who have sold themselves out to sin through a process called, SALVATION.  We are unable to save ourselves.  God has extended to us a lifeline of amazing grace by which we can be saved, grace given freely, unconditionally, and lovingly. All we need to do is accept that grace wholeheartedly; REPENTANCE and FAITH are the first steps toward receiving that gift.  (Ephesians 2:8-9)

In order to redeem humanity from its sin where the penalty is death, a sinless, blameless sacrifice had to become a substitution for us.  It's here that God shows us the cost of His grace.  God Himself became the sacrifice, once and for all, to reconcile every human before and since.  That is, for everyone.

God loves you so much that for a time, He, Himself lived and walked among us, robed in the same, crude flesh as us, taking on the form of man as Jesus Christ.  He lived a sinless, blameless life.  He taught and ministered with love and authority.  He offered us forgiveness.  He took on all humanity's sins, suffered a terrible death on the cross, was buried, and rose again that we may have eternal life, reconciled with Him.  His resurrection is the foundation and basis for our hope.  He ascended to rule in heaven and promises eternal life to those who trust and believe in Him. (John 10:27-28)

Believing in Jesus Christ isn't going to magically cure any of your life's mistakes.  Believing in Jesus Christ isn't going to make you a billionaire, suddenly make your crush fall madly in love with you, give you superhero powers, or make everything you touch turn to gold, (although, understand if you are an agent of the Most High, all-knowing, all-loving, Eternal God, all of those things can be a distinct possibility if its within His will for you!), but what believing in Jesus Christ can do is restore hope and faith through His forgiveness and salvation He offers.  Believing in Jesus Christ offers reconciliation with Him, daily communion with Him through the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the power to overcome when sin and temptation intersects with your path.  Believing in Jesus Christ opens the doorway for you to access all of God's love, the benefits of His grace, and the gift of eternal life.

My friend, if you have not yet made a decision for Jesus Christ, I urge you to receive His gift today.  Romans 6:23 says "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." When someone offers you a priceless gift. the wise thing to do is cheerfully accept it.  I assure you, you will be eternally grateful to know this love!
